The OId Rep is an elegant, intimate venue in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre, dedicated to providing the public with a variety of high quality theatre, comedy and musical performances.
2015 is set to be a landmark year for this historic venue, now managed by the Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA). We are delighted to announce our first professional touring productions, from renowned producers such as the Original Theatre Company and the John Godber Company. The Old Rep also continues to host some of Birmingham’s most celebrated amateur companies, as well as theatre and musicals performed by BOA students.
The Old Rep is conveniently located on Station Street, directly behind Birmingham New Street Station and within easy walking distance of the city centre shops and attractions.

Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) was established in 2011 as a 14-19 academy specialising in creative, digital and performing arts. BOA has rapidly established itself as a centre of excellence for the arts and has forged strong links with the creative industries regionally, nationally and internationally.
In 2014, BOA successfully tendered for and acquired the Old Rep Theatre. BOA will ensure that the theatre is a vibrant place for the provision of high quality arts, performance, training and cultural practices for young people at the heart of the West Midlands. The theatre will be a space for young people, run by young people, offering training opportunities in production, theatre management and technical theatre.
The Old Rep Theatre
